Peter Evans-Pritchard's goal was to make a perfectly balanced debut that reflects his love of all manner of electronic music and the different strands of Pop, drawing from Animal Collective to K-Pop, Underworld to Daniel Avery. A satisfying, hooky and accessible record with no excess fat but one that can move blissfully between Electro, Balearic, Italo Disco and Synthpop whilst still holding its own identity and one that is able to weave in all sorts of acoustic instruments from live drums and bass to clarinet and charm harp. He has been working on this album for over two years in his studio in Hampshire. Over that time, there has been a string of EPs, one-off tracks and remixes that have garnered a lot of praise from those whose praise means a lot. And he's got better at his game. Learning. Each detour round an EP, or the time taken retooling productions by TV On The Radio, Hot Chip, Shaun Ryder and Tunng has led to him upping his own production game. Each has been a learning curve and after each breakthrough he's gone back and reworked one of the tracks for his record, not all of which about breakfast.
