the band's career-defining, multi-platinum selling masterpiece 'mellon collie and the infinite sadness' has now been remastered for the first time and is available as an expanded 5cd&amp;dvd deluxe box set. the deluxe box set contains a massive 106 tracks across 5cds and a dvd, including the original album now remastered for the first time and 64 bonus tracks of previously unreleased material or alternate versions of 'mellon collie' era songs. the accompanying dvd features a live show filmed at the brixton academy, london (may, 1996) and bonus performances from the german music television show rockpalast (april, 1996). the deluxe set comes housed in a 12" x 12" lift-top box with magnetic closure, re-imagined cover art and velvet-lined disc holder. the package includes two books containing personal notes, lyrics, new collage artwork, plus a decoupage kit for creating scenes from the mellon collie universe. the bonus content and special features have been curated from the band's personal archives by billy corgan, and have been painstakingly remastered for the first time from the original master tapes by bob ludwig.
