pat kelly born 1949 in kingston jamaica, after leaving school he went to the usa to study electronics. in 1967, when slim smith left the techniques pat kelly was brought in to replace him, recording for duke reid in the rock steady era when reid's treasure isle studio / label was dominating jamaican music. pat kelly strongly influenced by soul singers sam cooke and curtis mayfield went solo in 1968 and debuting with a curtis mayfield cover 'little boy blue' which was the biggest selling jamaican single of 1969. this album contains some hit tunes which have finally released on cd for the first time.
