this is was recorded in new york 1972. there are 24 tracks here and feature performances by willie nelson, larry gatlin and rita coolidge joins kris on a couple of tracks too. his band is great as ever (terry paul (bass), donnie fritts(keys), sammy creason(drums), stephen bruton(lead guitar) and mike utley(organ). they kick the tunes out in a style that is true to the studio versions but with a raw edge (particularly 'border lord' and 'jesse younger' they sound massive!) kris's voice and humour are on top form also!
