this new great pop supplement 7" features the debut from vancouver band anemones. lo-fi velvets meets 70s new york a la jonathan richman, television etc... the band have created a buzz in canada by small run cassettes and cdrs, not to mention their extraordinary, incendiary live shows. the kinda record the strokes should be making, and one that although perhaps a slight departure for the label's recent output- still has that warm psych glow, not to mention a cool ferris wheel poster sleeve and more inserts and packaging loveliness.
